Today my oldest daughter has her first "testing" experience in school. She was feeling nervous this morning and started asking me questions about it. I just said:
"Honey don't worry they just want to find out what you know."
She replies "Oh so I close my eyes and imagine a play and then I write it down."
Man, if only!! I wish that were the way it is. Yes I think school would be much better if it was run by a 7 year old.

Yes. I'm not looking forward to the annual testing. As long as the kids don't put too much stock in it, I guess it's okay.
But I think you're right: a test where they just wrote what they wanted would be a much better test of intelligence and knowledge!
